Rebecca Irene Erickson, 68, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away at Boulder Community Health in Boulder, Colorado on November 10, 2020. No celebration of life is planned at this time. Rebecca was born in LeMars, Iowa on May 11, 1952 to Lowell and Helen Erickson. She grew up on the family farm near Marcus, Iowa and graduated from Marcus Community High School in 1970. While working in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, she accepted an offer to be a congressional aide in Washington DC. After working in this position for a few years, Rebecca attended the University of South Dakota and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. She then returned to Washington DC to work in various Federal agencies until she retired in 2013 and moved to Boulder CO. Rebecca loved hiking in the mountains, photography, and volunteering at the Boulder Humane Society.
Rebecca is survived by her siblings: Dennis (Ann) Erickson, Tucson AZ; Ron (JoAnn) Erickson, Remsen IA; Kathy O’Connor, Elgin IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Helen Erickson.
